NBC Confuses Jessie Eisenberg With Mark Zuckerberg.

According to Digital Trends, while showing a shot of the crowd during an Olympic basketball event, NBC Sportscaster Bob Fitzgerald, mistakenly identified Jessie Eisenberg, who played Mark Zuckerberg in the Social Network as the real Mark Zuckerberg. The exact quote from Digital Trends:

“I know I’m gonna put that picture on Facebook,” Fitzgerald said. “We’ve got every executive of note, it seems, worldwide, attending these games.”

3 Worse Celebrities NBC Could Misidentify As Major Executives

1. They could confuse Olympic gold-medal-winning snowboarder Shaun White with comedian Carrot Top. They both have crazy red hair, and Carrot Top did star in the movie “Chairman of the Board.” Which is an executive position of note. And also ironically what People Magazine calls Shaun White.

2. They could confuse Alec Baldwin as being the head of NBC, after watching too many commercial spots for 30 Rock. Although this would not necessarily be a bad thing, because then Alec Baldwin may tell NBC not to cancel 30 Rock after this season.

Top Of 30 Rock

The view from Alec Baldwin’s new office at the top of 30 Rock, if NBC sports was reporting who their boss is. By the way, this is our 100th entry on this site, which we would never confuse with our 30th entry because we research things!

3. NBC could identify a virtual zombie as Zynga CEO Mark Pincus. Zynga released the game Zombie Swipeout, a game where you buy virtual weapons to wipe out zombies. To make matters more confusing, they could send in Mark Zuckerberg to wipe out the zombie Mark Pincus, confusing him with Jessie Eisenberg in his role hunting zombies in Zombieland. To make matters even worse, Facebook relies a lot on Zynga to make profits, selling things like virtual weapons to Americans who apparently believe that the U.S. economy is in bad shape. So basically sending in a virtual Jessie Eisenberg zombie-killer to wipe out virtual zombie Mark Pincus could wipe out one of America’s important manufacturing industries.
