CBC reports that comedian Russell Peters says it was only a prank when he accused incoming Daily Show host Trevor Noah of stealing his material.

Here’s 3 reasons we believe this was a prank…

1. It wasn’t a very funny prank, just like Russell Peters is not funny.  In other words, the unfunny prank seems to match Russell Peters’ sense of humor.

2. We’re pretty certain you can’t steal things that don’t exist, namely Russell Peters “jokes.”

3. The prank is that anyone, including someone we had never heard of before they took over the Daily Show, would want to steal Russell Peters’ material, right?
