The Wall Street Journal reports that Uber is working with Carnegie Mellon University to develop driverless cars, in direct competition with Google, which also is doing similar work.

1. So Uber is driving cab drivers to the poor house, and is now going to drive Uber-drivers to the same place. That Uber is sure good at driving people!
2. Many people who fly in giant steel tubes at 30,000 feet in the air on autopilot will think this is too risky!
3. We wonder how long people it will take to amend the Constitution to include “right to drive your own cars.” Because nobody will let the government take away that right, even if it’s probably safer… until the machines or hackers turn on us.
