Yahoo Finance reports that Amazon is planning to pay self-published authors by the number of pages of their books that Amazon customers read.

1. We suspect you’ll earn more writing 250 one-page books than one 250 page book. Not only do you have to deal with tedious details like plots and character development, most people just read the first chapter of a book, right?
2. Oh great, first Hollywood starts making nothing but superhero movies, and now Amazon has created an incentive to make more super hero comic books, full of pictures, action, and few words.
3. All you need is to have one person with a lot of time on their hands and your 50,000 page book on “How To Give A Succinct Speech” will be a big money maker!
