CNN has read a statement from Fox News stating that Donald Trump, during a telephone conversation today demanded that Fox News pay $5 million to his charities to appear in tonight’s Fox News GOP debate. Fox declined that offer.

1. You can’t get Fox News to give money to charity to potentially improve ratings on their network – how exactly are you going to convince Mexico to pay for a wall again?
2. You want $5 million for your charities? The grand prize for Leeza Gibbons’ charity winning the Celebrity Apprentice was $250,000.00. If your time is so ratings-worthy, shouldn’t your contestants on the Celebrity Apprentice have earned more than 20 times what your show paid them?  That sounds reasonable for whatever lemonade-stand like competitions D-list celebrities had to endure week after week.
3. Fox News vs. Donald Trump – isn’t this like picking favorites among heels in a WWE match? Alas, we remember the day before Trump turned to heel from a Democrat. It reminds us of the day when Mr. Wonderful hit Hulk Hogan with a chair during an episode of Piper’s Pit. Or something like that.
